Epitaph Poem by Elizabeth Hefty

Epitaph

Rating: 5.0

So I will leave you where I found you,
on a sunlit street in summer
with the noise and dust swirling in eddies around us.
But I'm wearing new scars,
and a wound that may never heal,
desperately wishing for another end.
