Epitome Of Forgiveness Poem by Namita Rani Panda

Epitome Of Forgiveness

I kicked in her womb,
with smile she bore all the pain.

I tore her when I was born,
she shed tears of satisfaction.

I sucked her blood from her bosom,
she kissed me with unconditional affection.

I annoyed her with my disobedience,
shecomforted me with her warm embrace.

For me she sacrificed all her wishes
as my wishes were her only happiness.

I consumed all her strength
as she worked hard for me, her only wealth.

I left her alone for my career and concern,
without complaint she accepted her seclusion.

She is none other than my mom who bore everything in silence,
a true epitome of patience and ever flowing forgiveness.
