Escaping Poem by Patricia Darcy

Escaping

Just a dream place when times get tough

ESCAPING

When the day is dark and thunder rolls
When life seems grim with no meaning
I escape to another place
My magical land way up in space
I can dance, I can fly, all at once I am healing.

Dragons are flying thru' the sky
Witches on broomsticks fill the air
There's magical music all around
Fairies dancing to the beat of the sound
As I tap my feet there's no time for care.

There are butterflies with wings of silk
Fairies dancing in gowns of lace
Wizards and witches cast their spells
In my imaginary land where magic dwells
Will you come with me to this wondrous place

There’s peace not war
Laughter not tears
Kindness and love no need for fears
A place where children can run and play
Maybe we can all go there one sweet day
