Essence Behind Silence Poem by Sumita Jetley

Essence Behind Silence

Rating: 5.0

In the city's heart, where lights never dim,
A Sufi named Ilyas, at the world's brim,
Finds silence in chaos, peace within roar,
A modern-day seeker of the lore.

Skyscrapers tower, cars rush by,
Yet in his soul, not a single sigh.
'Bat Niklegi Toh Door Talak Jayegi, '
Whispers the wind, as if to agree.

In cafes dim, or parks serene,
Among the crowd, yet unseen,
Ilyas speaks in silence, a language so deep,
To the Divine, a love he keeps.

The city buzzes, a constant stream,
But Ilyas finds spaces in between.
A moment of peace, a quiet spell,
Where his heart and the unseen dwell.

The Sufi's quest, not bound by time,
In modern chaos, a climb sublime.
His love, the unseen, across the noise,
A silent bond, an eternal poise.

In the urban sprawl, a desert found,
Where silence speaks, without a sound.
Ilyas's journey, a testament bold,
Of finding the Divine, in the city's hold.

'Bat Niklegi Toh Door Talak Jayegi, '
A truth that travels, a soul set free.
In the heart of the city, a Sufi's tale,
A silent love, that will prevail.
