Eternal Engagement Poem by Hebert Logerie

Eternal Engagement

Rating: 5.0

After a tormenting absence
And a very protracted distance
I rummage through blocks of neighborhoods
To finally unearth or rediscover you
With the surfeit of charms of your beauty
From afar you surged like a scented
Shadow, under the dark sky, slightly
Unabashedly. As you were approaching the nearby woods
I could feel and sense the invisible key unobstructed
And quickly unlocking my amused, debilitated
Abused, fractured and disguised heart
Eternal bride, in truth I missed you, you're part
Of me. I frankly realize that without you
I live on a forgotten cross, in the depths of the labyrinth
Love, they say, breeds sadness or joy
Love outwardly brings good and bad things
Darling, I picked up a plethora of superb roses for you
And I wrote an anthology of poems of love, happiness and light
To quiver and enrapture the fibers of your shivering heart
You are my eternal fiancée
The only woman who can appease my dismay.
