Eternal Flight Poem by Opeyemi Borisade

Eternal Flight

Rating: 5.0

How does one qualify the stripes of the rainbow?
How do you value the rising morning sun?
How do I explain you matchless beauty?
Or qualify your excelling charm, my queen?

Night gently fell on Africa yesterday
As the sun followed you off with its eyes
An eclipse would smooch the earth
When it intoxicates with your fiery beauty

My heart skips at the appearance of your shadow
It enlarges at your scent coming from afar
My fingers tremble to touch your glowing skin
My ears tingle at the words from the lips of my goddess

Having you makes my life all mystical
Getting your love, as a right to romance divinity
I'll spread out my wings as impossibility weeps to death
And go on an eternal flight with you, my Angel.
