Eternal Redemption Poem by April Humason

Eternal Redemption

My heart stands still, O God, in pain,
Yet still I whisper out Your name.
The shadows stretch where laughter grew,
And silence falls on what I knew.

Petals scatter, dreams lie low,
Where once the light was warm and slow.
I walk through memories soft and deep,
Carrying love I still must keep.

In the hush of broken air,
You meet me in my quiet prayer.
You do not rush the tears I cry,
You stay with me as moments die.

Your mercy holds what I can't save,
Your arms receive what time can't brave.
Though loss has carved a hollowed space,
I feel the shadow of Your grace.

Above the ache, above the ache, You reign,
Steady through grief, untouched by pain.
Your faithfulness does not depart,
Even inside a broken heart.

So I will trust You with my grief,
Though breath is short and nights are brief.
Not lost forever, not alone,
Held in love — though overthrown.
