Eternal Sleep - Poem by john tiong chunghoo

i envy granny
as she lays
so peaceful
in the coffin
i envy the priest
his full faith
as he makes
his prayers
a full God
heaven and hell
all that is in
our hearts
the secret
that goes buried
in the soil
with grandma
for now she is one
who knows it all
if there is'nt any
it does not matter too
an eternal sleep she earns

A poem of great tenderness and beauty. The faith of your grandmother has been rewarded, I feel sure.

    Kindest regards,

    Sandra
