Eternal Verse Poem by Princewill Thompson

Eternal Verse

Rating: 5.0

Shall you relive in time, the earth to shake,
Shall you defeat men's vice, history to make,
Or pull low heads high for their very sake,
Or your wisen'd words make high men to quake.
I however shall be no where to find,
And many men recall not me to mind,
In that earth I lay and be forgotten,
And mortal body despair and rotten.
But entomb'd in my grave shall you not lie,
Or like dusty mortals you shall not die,
To lift praises from lips unto your verse,
When all other of me be in disguise.
Present faithly shall you be, my poem,
In the hearts and eyes of ones not solemn.

Well conceived and nicely embellished with poetic rhyme and rhythm. An insightful creation. Thanks for sharing Ugochukwu.
