Ethnic Cleansing Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

What's this talk of ‘Ethnic Cleansing'?
That we often hear about,
Spoken by Despots through the ages,
Wishing to gain votes, and to people rout.

Through the course of History,
Many Leaders have it promulgated,
To gain followers for their causes,
From people too ignorant to fight it.

Why do civilised people allow
Despots, Leaders and Dictators few,
To implant the idea of ‘Ethnic Cleansing'
Into Minds of others, without outcries anew.

Have we not learnt our lessons,
How ‘Ethnic Cleansing' has destroyed
Millions of people in Europe and Africa?
Why must we hide and be not annoyed?

Surely now is the time to stand-up,
Let us all have our say,
Free the world from ‘Ethnic Cleansing'
From this day forward, come what may.
