Eturnal Love Poem by Celene Bonin

Eturnal Love

Rating: 5.0

The deadly forces that cast their shadows
On these ghostly hollows
Calling to my essence
a glimpse of a presence
This presence, an eternal soul
Leaves relentless chills down my back
As the phantom approaches my existence
And reaches his hand to touch my face
My heart begins to race
As I distinguish an identity
In this moment of chaste intensity
I see in his eyes, I see a passionate being
And my heart starts to sing
The words he once said
Still ringing in my head
“I love you, now and forever”
My voice I try to endeavor
As my heart quickly quivers
As my tears flow like rivers
This is truly he who has my heart.
He speaks a promise that we shall never part
Astonished by the sight
I see a glimmering light
He reaches for my hand
And takes me to a fantasy land
He looks into my eyes
Surly my wanted demise
As he calmly kisses my lips
And tightly grips my hips
“I will never let you go, not again” he whispers.

A beautiful, haunting poem of lost lovers reunited! Your usage of colorful words illustrates a picture of a woman's soul yearning for the touch of her beloved once more. A dream perhaps? Fine example of a love poem!
