</>You walked the land and saw the world,
But lost yourself along the way,
Search the oyster for the pearl,
I always knew you wouldn't stay.
You gave us life,
Made us cry,
Taught us to love,
And how to die,
You're beautiful,
And ugly too,
We'd all be lost,
If not for you.
Legends, heroes, gods, and kings,
Made us laugh and made us sing,
You wrote our hearts and made them blue,
Convinced us we were heroes too.
I hope there's peace on the other side,
down at the crossroads to the great divide,
Love is forever when it's in a song,
So the love you make will never be gone.
