Deep blue sea, a hidden story sleeps,
Where ancient lands, the ocean keeps.
No golden towers, no crystal domes,
But quiet fields, once people's homes.
Doggerland, a name we now recall,
Where hunters walked, before the fall.
With deer and beasts, in sunlit days,
Lost to the past, in watery haze.
A rumble deep, a shaking ground,
A broken shelf, a mighty sound.
Like mountains falling, water spread,
A giant wave, with power dread.
It rose so high, a building tall,
A rushing tide, consuming all.
It swept across the sea so wide,
With nothing left to turn the tide.
It met the lands, a crashing might,
And swallowed them in endless night.
The trees, the folk, the beasts that roamed,
Beneath the waves, forever tombed.
So sleeps the past, beneath the foam,
A lost world drowned, a silent home.
The North Sea keeps, what time erased,
Europe's Atlantis, in waters laced.
