Eveline Poem by Cookie Matzii

Eveline

There lived a girl named Eveline,
she was alone indeed.
In a dusty old house,
love is all she needs.

Her father, distant.
Her brothers, not near.
She had no one with her;
but soon enough, she didn't need to fear.

There now was Frank,
her loyal lover.
He has planned to take her
and forever be together.

They were all set on the boat.
Frank was calling her aboard;
but she didn't give a response,
not a gesture, not a word.

A lot of thoughts in head,
more than one, but not two.
She was so confused.
She didn't know what to do.

She just stood there.
On that dock, she planned to stay.
A blank stare on her face, she didn't care,
Frank has now gone away.
