David Poem by Cookie Matzii

Rating: 5.0

Rockin' off the microphone,
that's what he does best.
Sung his heart out on the stage,
he won the contest.

He looks into the camera
and flashes his smile.
It just makes you oh, so wonder,
'Am I in heaven for a while? '

He wears that shirt
with that cool vest,
those cowboy boots;
his hair's a mess
but I just do not care.
He could always take my breath away;
leaves me to stop and stare
'cause I just couldn't make him stay.

Every night, I wonder
why destiny didn't let us be.
Is it the age, the time, the place?
Or maybe it's just me.

But all those doubts they should be gone,
from my mind I should erase.
Someday I know we'll meet again,
I'm sure with one of these days.

So until then, I'm doomed to wait.
David, dear, I hope it's not too late.
I'm all alone hoping you're waiting too.
For all this time, I've admired/loved only you.
