Even His Wife Does Not Need Her Husband While He Has No Wealth!
Even if he is not a learned person, all the people
around shall go and honour him if he has wealth!
Even his wife does not need and respect
her husband while he has no wealth!
The mother who had given birth of him too
does not want the son who has no wealth!
The words from his mouth will not be taken by anyone!

This poem 'Even his wife does not need her husband while he has no wealth! ' is a translation by me of a poem from Tamil literature 'Nalvazhi'
நேரிசை வெண்பா
கல்லானே ஆனாலும் கைப்பொருளொன்(று)உண்டாயின்
எல்லாரும் சென்றங்கு எதிர்கொள்வர்; - இல்லானை
இல்லாளும் வேண்டாள்; மற்(று)ஈன்றெடுத்த தாய்வேண்டாள்;
செல்லா(து)அவன்வாயின் சொல்.34 நல்வழி
