Evening Storm. - Poem by Denis Barter
(A Minute Poem.)
The moon was full, but dark the night!
The lack of light,
as night drew near,
gave cause for fear.
No breeze stirred, no sound was heard
from beast, or bird,
why peace reigned.
But then skies were rent asunder,
as loud thunder
far and away,
ended our day!
