Eveningtide(@ 2000) Poem by Lillian B. Rose

Eveningtide(@ 2000)

Shadow passing, side by side
Night-time dreamers kiss the sky
The moon half hidden by the clouds
Casts a shadow on the ground

Cold, cool air sweeping by
Stars fall from the sky
A silent wish is made in vain
Bringing with it new found pain

Still in your eyes I can see
The shadows drifting far from me
Trouble lost as time moves on
Caroling religious songs
