Manjeshwari P MYSORE

Evergreen India - Poem by Manjeshwari P MYSORE

India, the Land rich in Traditions and Culture
Proud of Her Great Past, Present and Future
Agricultural diversity, serene beauty, monsoon Rain
Was Invaded for Jems, Spices, Art and Rich Terrain

Indigo, Pepper, Silk, Tamarind, Sandalwood, Diamonds, Gold
Many Countries couldn't Her prosperity Behold
Turmeric, Mango, Pearls, Corals, Ivory, Rubies, Emeralds
Reigning high, Vast Treasures, Grandeur sent Heralds

Scriptures, Sculptures, Festivals, Feasts, Dance
You can Enjoy the whole in a glace
Poetry, Astrology, Sports, Music, Mathematics, Science
A sweet note amidst noise, a deep soothing silence

We Believe in Simple Living, Giving and Forgiving
The True Art, Commerce and Science of Living
Rarest to common Flora and Fauna
To the Mother Earth, India is like the Corona

Indian People are the true asset
Hospitality and Generosity you will never forget
Where the Holy Ganga cleanses mind, body and soul
Yoga, Ayurveda, SriBhagavad Gita heal mind, body and soul

These are just a few things, a mere glimpse
The True essence of the land is immense
Let my Land be Peaceful and Evergreen
Shall Be, As it Was, Is and Has Ever Been.
