Every Good Woman Deserves A Good Man Christine Poem by Francis Duggan

Every Good Woman Deserves A Good Man Christine

Every good woman deserves a good man Christine I once heard a wise man say
And if you don't feel I measure up then send me on my way
Yes if you feeel I'm not man enough you know what best to do
Just tell me I don't make the grade I'm not the one for you.

You've got no interest in me Christine and that thought hurts me bad
And I've fallen in love with you which makes it all more sad
But I know that I will come good as I've been hurt before
Though I must like the punishment to go and look for more.

And I'll remember I will Christine the first time we did meet
Outside the ANZ bank at the top end of Bourke Street,
With auburn hair and hazel eyes you looked lovely to behold
And methought she looks more twenty five than forty one years old.

You are a good and kind woman Christine good as I've ever met
And I'll remember you always, you are one I won't forget
And when you tell me that you don't have a man in your life,
I find that hard to believe
Though I believe all you tell me as you are not one to deceive.

Every good woman deserves a good man Christine those words ring ever true
And you are a good woman Christine one of the chosen few
And if every good woman deserves a good man Christine then you deserve one too
As I have never met or known a kinder soul than you.
