Every Inch Poem by Jennifer Unknown

Every Inch

Lying next you inside your arms
With my head under your chin resting on your chest
I can hear your heart beating
And feel you breathe
Your voice getting softer and softer as you become more relaxed
Perfectly content in this moment
I feel your soft kisses gently on my head
And your fingers gently caressing my goose bump skin
Every inch of my body they caress
Trying to relax in this moment becomes harder and harder
You feel my heart beating faster
And my short breaths against your skin grow sharper
You’re perfectly relaxed as your hands continue their gentle graze
Lying inside your arms being held tightly against you
Another gentle kiss on top of my head
Your beating heart still relaxed
My heart racing
‘Not to tonight’ you playfully whisper in my ear
Soft kisses on my head as you fall asleep leaving me to dream of tomorrow with you
