no one wants to be lied to
no one wants to lie
many long that the world should stay
a springtime lullaby
green is the promise always
before the first rock's hurled
that's when the soul starts slipping
into another world
God keep the tie between us
beyond incredulous storms
Christ save my heart forever
and keep me forewarned
though no one wants to be lied to
no one wants to lie
this is the cause of history
and every tear that's cried
