Everyday When Poem by Francis Duggan

Everyday When

Everyday when out walking them I do dee
People with big ego are all around me
Some taking selfies or talking on their mobile phone as they walk along
Their love of self it is obvious and extremely strong
Too much into self admiration it does seem this way
To acknowledge strangers they pass by and bid them good day
Life would be so boring they would feel so much alone
If they had to go for a walk without their mobile phone
Though they may not realize it they seem rather rude
That talking on and texting on mobile phones in public all others exclude
For narcissistic behaviour modern technology in some part to blame
But there are many other reasons that one can name
For this warped form of self love known as narcissism with many now an in thing
In a time of self promotion when many their own praises do love to sing
