Evil Spirits Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Evil Spirits

The dark whispers, a heavy name,
'Evil spirits, ' but what's the claim?

A priest speaks low, of faith defied,
Protection lost, where shadows hide.
Ouija's game, a door flung wide,
Curses hurled, on a tainted tide.

Old tales unfold, in misty air,
Ghosts that weep, a family's despair.
A haunted house, a chilling stare,
Misfortune rides, beyond compare.

The mind's own war, a silent fight,
Trauma's grip, that dims the light.
Memories claw, with all their might,
'Demons' rise, in endless night.

Addiction's chains, a burning thirst,
Bad habits cling, a life immersed.
A battle fought, a soul reversed,
Internal demons, truly cursed.

Then toxic souls, a venomous sting,
Energy drained, no joy they bring.
Manipulators pull at the string,
Evil spirits in the world, that clings!

The priest sees demons, dark and deep,
The mind will say trauma it is.
The psychologist looks within, to troubled sleep.
While folklore weaves, where secrets keep.

So who is right, and who is wrong?
Where truth resides, the whole life long?
Perhaps the answer, brave and strong,
To leave the spirits, where they belong.
