Exam Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Exam

Exam

My teachers, all of them
-to me are, much younger
-many things, I have seen
-they know not, unaware
-of their fields, know better
-therefore I, can, must learn

Yesterday had exam
-fell my heart; of fear!

Subject was something that
-I recall was not born

In nineteen-seventies
- (then too, was student;
-university, not college)
-it was what had to learn
- (logic of computer…
-and writing program.)

"Go to right if is so;
-if not left, straight…"
-and so on, with the signs
-and signals…

We ordered CPU; (the brain,)
-the tongue was a punched-card
-the metals were smart
-and followed our order
- (left or right, straight)

Printed were outputs,
-huge were the papers

Yesterday, among us, walked Patti
-blue and yellow were her papers
-to me gave blue bunch; in it death
- (as questions…) in PC on table,
-had to use Microsoft for exam
-murderer was the "Word -"
- (She is an expert and specialised.)
