Exceeding Great

Exceeding great and precious promises
Have we who know the Lord
Now partakers of a divine nature
Our inheritance upon trusting God's Word
Always keeping in remembrance
The stories of the past
Being established in the present truth
Remaining in the faith steadfast

We have an everlasting kingdom
Of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
Diligent in making our calling and election sure
For He became sins ransom price
When we put off this old tabernacle
And we're clothed with a body glorified
Praise God for this sure word of prophecy
That made the day star in our hearts arise

Exceeding great and precious promises
Recorded for our reflection
Holy men of God spoke as they were moved
The Holy Ghost assuring their perfection
And standing on those promises of God
With a hope that shall not fade away
Hallelujah for my Resurrection and Life!
Praise be to my God I say!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
