Excuses Poem by Kira Travis

Excuses

I walk down a road
To a place with no one home
Callilng all those friends
who said they would
Be there

I had a party to go to
I had work
You get off at five
I was babysitting after

You knew I needed you
yet the excuses come
the empty silences of no one is here
My house is empty
If anything a memory

I am home but not in my house.
I am the memory they made to forget
a moment were it not for my need
silenced by the dirt thrown over me.

True friends are very difficult to have, thats why once we find ones we need to really appreciate them....maybe we also need to understand them too... maybe they just busy when we really need them...we need to tell them when they are ready...though sometimes we need it at wrong time. But in you, you have your best friend to always listen, yourself...that can move you to be better..because no one knows the best in you except you :)

Thank you. Mine just Moved on without telling me. I was forced to accept the fact that her life left mine.
