Exorcism Of My Pride Poem by Tyler Bucannon

Exorcism Of My Pride

Rating: 5.0

This year at Pride
A pastor stood infront Of me and called me a demon
So I transformed
My teeth turned into fangs painted the color of my flag
Diamonds popped out of my skull
And glitter danced on my skin
The pastor asked to perform a live exorcism
Because demons aren't welcome in this world
My chest started puffing up with each scripture he cursed me with
Shhhh listen to his scripture
Cutting off my oxygen with each demonization of my flesh
The pride starts to drain out on my veins
Can you breath?
Demon can you dance?
Demon can you show your true colors?
Demon the power of Christ compels you
Demon speak
Demon speak
Can you breathe
I can feel the flag draining of it's beautiful colors
I was only a demon when your scriptures made me one
I was only a demon when your geniuses turned my pride into dust
I was only a demon when the pastor came up to me at pride this month
I think I'll hide this month
