Expect No Words Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Expect No Words

Expect no words

I wished a wish
Like fish in pond
To run from one end to another
And sincerely bother

I want no crown
And does not want to become known
Neither have I wanted to hold position
Not to decor any composition

I want to feel poverty
And seek mercy
From an almighty
To enjoy square meal daily

I want to dig earth
Till stops breathe
Tear apart its belt
To feel fragrance and be felt

No one cares
For departed souls
But I want nothing of that sort
Give me everything short

I shall seek no honor
But go for
My brethren who toil hard
But expect no praise with words
