Expectations Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Expectations

As I spoon my porridge into my mouth,
I think of what YOU do,
Continually creating Worlds,
And people to live there too.

How problems to me seem so vast,
But are like the ‘point of a pin' to YOU,
I worry how to perform my task,
But YOUR help will see me through.

Each waking moment, I think in verse,
How good YOU are to me,
And to all who also live on Earth,
Whether or not they believe in THEE.

YOU do not separate YOUR love
From those who do or do not believe,
For YOU are more gracious to all,
And our suffering YOU'll always relieve.

What are my expectations in Life?
What do I want from YOU?
Why should I expect more than YOUR love?
But always, I'll have Faith in YOU.
