Expectations Poem by marivic rosario

Expectations

Did it ever come to your mind?
Why the things we wishfully aimed for
Were sometimes not what we find?
It may come but there is ever less in store.

To reach a cast so you wish and sigh
A plain goal but no matter how simple and zeal
And the positivity is still that high
It wont be actual and it could not be real.

Did it ever come to your mind?
Why the things we hardly avoided for
Were sometimes all what we find?
It may come and there is ever more in store.

To evade mishap so you hide and flee
Have a decisive escape but no matter how you eschew
Even when you lam and that is often sturdy
It could be real and it would come to you.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

A poem that makes one contemplate. Good to have expectations though, makes our hope and faith grow a little more! Lovely read; D
