Exploding In Pain Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Exploding In Pain

Rating: 5.0

Like a volcano
in destructive pain
to my totality
in explosive dreams
I soar above this earth
as if I instinctively
knew how to fly…
as living's clones
with their flames on
roast until they split
until they become like me
with an acrid smile
dancing like mimes
no rhythm to each step
melting into surreal
hued colours
like a volcano
covered in sludge…
I try to wipe away
this mess, but you
speak so strikingly loud
I forget who IAM
or what my thoughts
sound like
when they call out
but, that's the
essence of volcanos
erupting menacingly
and with such force…
none can withstand
the power of this rage
and when each volcano
does blow, everyone
runs for cover
in rampant terror
fearful of seeing
such a giant
exploding in pain.

Very vivid and intense wording, drives home the pain from your words into my mind. Extremely emotional poem, felt throughout my being. Excellent imagery, it brings the feelings to the surface where our hearts can grasp them. Extraordinary poem! 10+++ Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
