Extraordinary Poem by courtney metcalf

Extraordinary

I've always been mobile
I'm kind of a floater
One place to the next
Gypsy, hippy, stoner

Always creative, fluently hated
Struggling to fight, without fighting
In this world I was placed in
Keep the peace
But speak your mind
Why do you keep it all stuck inside?

To be free, is to live in chapters
Living in the nows, not the ever afters

Smiling so happily
Laughing at reality
Wandering around with my fairytale mentality

Daydreaming mode
Riding that living room flow
Lighting up sparklers while hanging halfway out my car window

And isn't it strange, how everything can change
How nothing in this world ever really stays the same?

Take nothing for granted
Everything's temporary
Including you, so be extraordinary
