Eye's Open Poem by Will Althen

Eye's Open

The world is quite here
If I told you I knew what I’m sayin’ I’d be lying here
People who are greedy and dying to need me wish they could see what I’m writing here
If life needs a bull market, then I’m a bear
I’ma bear witness to this pseudo-psycho sickness that’s everywhere
This is a testament, because the older testaments left me bare
Let me share what harks with it, becoming everything I’m not
And it’s not forgiven
Just as I am let it be to you
Open up your eyes and see what’s true.
