Eyes Of December Poem by Adelina Amare

Eyes Of December

Rating: 5.0

These are the eyes of December,
And I hope you will soon remember
How they would brighten at the sight of your affectionate face.
Now they darken, for I may never again feel your warm embrace.
These are the eyes of December.

These are the eyes of December
From which rain falls because you cannot remember
How you would sing to me, your voice full of love,
And soft as that of a dove.
These are the eyes of December.

These are the eyes of December
That have lost their color, for you cannot remember
The person who stands by your side;
The person who once had a bright star within her eyes.
These are the eyes of December.

These are the eyes of December
That look at pictures of you, and I know I will always remember
How you once loved and cared for me and never left me behind;
How your eyes of June were once bright and kind.
These are the eyes of December.

These are the eyes of December,
And I can still remember
When they were once the eyes of May
Before you were taken away.
Now they are the eyes of December.
