Fabric Of The Heart - Poem by Lisa Marie Mottert

Threads entwined to hold in place
Beautiful material of the human race
Blinders faded into the furious wind
Gone are the days of way back then.

Glistening gem of the heart
Buried in the fabric of life from the start
Glowing and growing everyday-
Garbage of prejudice, cast away.

Birth of love and unity-
Doves weave peacefully in tranquility.

Reflecting one evening on the turmoil in this world inspired me to write this short poem.

Glowing and growing; with the works of life. Thanks for sharing. (Report) Reply
