Faced With Extinction As A Posse Of Ghosts Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Faced With Extinction As A Posse Of Ghosts

Faced with Extinction as a posse of ghosts
Surrounding me and one as to many cornering me
And being thus cornered of fear surfeiting
That yellow my skin turn and blanched my face
I used my last and only Weapon that was Brain
I thought and suffered, I suffered and thought
Till in the last Formula, Principle, Equation fond
I found that I could engineer and make
Direct descent collateral, and collateral descent
To collateral promoted, And thus seeing
This faded the sundry ghosts as faced with Dawn.
