Faces Poem by Miguel Tonihka Martinez

Faces

Rating: 5.0

He said that statue has a face,
But the museum would disagree.

He said that bottle has a face,
On this however they would agree.

He said that rock has a face that anyone would love, again
The museum would disagree.

For a while they would go back and forth on what does and what doesn't have a face.

Eventually the museum just gave up on him and put him back in his display case,
The man without a face.

An insightful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely brought forth. A witty reflection on art set aside for honest contemplation. Thanks for sharing Miguel.
