Faces In Stone Poem by Daniel Y.

Faces In Stone

Boulders far from rocky homes
tower on the peasant fields.
The monoliths of such a weight
that none could lift a side.
Impose their obvious tyranny,
impede the oxen’s path
and defy the logical man.
It must have been the giants land
before we came along.
Who tossed their lots with logs and rocks
and whose step made valleys cower.
