Facets Of Mind Poem by Claire Sanders

Facets Of Mind

Rating: 4.5

Facets of a once copious mind reeling

Although un-defined, thoughts distorted

A soul twisted by unsurity a plea to let go

My pysche to the wolves, snarling

Undecided, but you just can't let go

Let them feed

Let them grow

I'm fine, I'll fight

Live to see tomorrow

Losing an ego in space and time

Drop through the cracks, the gaps

Like rain to a weed, you make demands

As once I always did, can't help myself

Putty in those controlling hands

Let it feed

Let it grow

I'm fine, I'll fight

Live to see tomrrow

Forget the tunnels and lights

Darkness at my heels, as though

Moving through a chasm of memories

Once dependent on your strength

My focus had gone again, losing sight

Let me be

Let me go

I'm fine, I'll fight

Live to see tomorrow

Feel forgotten, downtrodden, almost numb

Refuse to believe this web is my path

Chosen not by choice, by mirth

Lost in the abyss of all this, my voice

Will be heard, never to succumb

Let me see

Let me know

I'm fine, I'll fight

Live to see tomorrow

Dwelling in a new place, removed from sorrow

Taking in breaths deeper then hell

Walked, stumbled and sometimes climbed

Out of the pit, from which this time began

Polish up those facets, my mind is who and what I am

Let me breathe

Let it show

I'm fine, I fight

I live to see tomorrow......
