Facing It - Poem by tianna graham

I’ve got to forget my past The future looks bright now Why then, with you by my side Does she still haunt me? When will I learn? To trust what we feel To accept that today She can’t hurt me anymore Oh darling, just give me timeTo leave my nightmares behind To walk out into the sunshineThat our love has created For at this moment she invades my nightsDisrupting my sleepIt wont be forever One day you will hold me And know that she’s goneThe past is forgotten And we are alone now
