Fading Greeting Poem by Mpho Nkadimeng

Fading Greeting

Rating: 5.0

How I sank in my night
With wishes of your evenings within my crust
They say tomorrow assembles thoughts ofspring
But what good is tomorrow when todaybeholds yesterday
How deep is your absence
That your each parting step becomes a tomb for my seconds
Time has buried you in its eternity
Using my mind as the bars to your prison
But only I'm the caged bird in this system
Locked in the centre of you my void
How fancy is your freedom
With treasures of space in your shadow
And the presence of your heart filled essence
How good is the appreciation of your stare to your fallen
Is the fall as deep as my jump
Are the laughs as sound as my echoes
Are you your smiles again
How far off broken are we
To only fade in my greetings

Heartache will fade in the end, it just takes time. A touching poem.
