Fairness............ Poem by RIC BASTASA

good for you my amigo,
you fall in love and you speak it out
and you act it out and
sometimes you get it yourself

there is someone too whose mouth is sealed.
whose arms are bound, whose heart is taken.

someone thinks that you are lucky,
and happier, but let us try to see things

from the perspective of the omniscient,
in that view, everyone, in one way or another,
suffers.

alright, far pastures are always greener,
people other than us, are always happier,
but come to think of it,

everyone suffers, sometimes happier, sometimes sadder,
because that is the real face of life,

there is no regret, nothing about jealousy,
contentment is here, and fairness is everywhere.
