Faith Poem by Rachel Martin

Faith

i'm trying i'm trying i'm trying to escape.
i'm running i'm running from something that has a bad fate.
i'm terrified i'm petrified trying'ta catch my breath.
i'm screaming i'm falling what's gonna happen next?
people are fading in and out in and out
it gets annoying like water (droplets) falling from the spout.
i'm screaming i'm falling gravity is kicking in
what i see below is nothing good
hands coming left fingers coming from right
everything here is just a terrible sight
i think for a minute that i'm dreaming
soon enough reality is kicking
the light above that's shinning so bright
feels so warm with much delight
it says 'call unto your soul, that i shall keep forever'
(now) i'm praying i'm praying asking for forgiveness
i feel myself rise and come towards the light
now i know i won't have to face that terrible plite
