Faithful Friends: The Presenters Of Christ Poem by Denis Martindale

Who are the faithful friends of Christ, though servants they stay still?
Who are the saints who sacrificed according to God's will?
Who are the ones who preached and preached across the decades past?
Who are the ones who reached and reached across the globe at last?
I know a few, the chosen few, the fellowship of faith,
And credit where credit is due because they chose to save.

Such saints who truly paid the cost, not far from God to roam,
To save the strangers who got lost, prodigals far from home.
Quote Jesus? Yes, that's what they've done! On route still with the Lord?
Yes, there were setbacks, yet they've won! Deserving of reward.
No wonder Israel calls them friends when visiting that land,
God willing, friendship never ends as each serves hand-in-hand.
