'' Fake, Fake, Fake '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' Fake, Fake, Fake ''

As I look to tomorrow,
I feel such sorrow,
At the legacy we leave behind,
To our children we've lied,
That can't be denied,
To their well-being we are totally blind.

The future's not ours,
That attitude sours,
It's theirs and we don't seem to care,
As resources disappear,
It has become clear,
It's our offspring who need to beware.

Each and every child,
Will feel reviled,
At the fact their plight we ignored,
What we have styled,
Will leave them riled,
What we've ruined cannot be restored.

It's a total disgrace,
There's no future in space,
We need to improve what is here,
What we have to face,
Is the young human race,
Very soon will all disappear.

Our duty to protect,
Is what we neglect,
By continuing our errant ways,
It is them we affect,
We have lost all respect,
We've prepared them for the end of their days.

It's we who're to blame,
Yet we feel no shame,
As we continue to take, take, take,
While they're in the frame,
Our excuses are lame,
Our legacy will be,
