While you were looking for yourself,
Did you find everything you need?
Did your dreams come true?
Did you even miss me?

While you were packing your bags,
Did you even think of me?
Were you scared of how you were feeling?
Did you even love me?

When you were out there all alone,
Did you find someone to give you their time?
Did they tell you everything would be alright?
Were their eyes as pretty a blue as mine?

When you needed some time away from everything,
Did you realize we had something great?
Do you see that you made a mistake?
Do you know that I can still give you one chance?

I know you lost yourself along the way.
So concerned with making everyone else happy.
Are you tired of tending to everyone else's needs?
Don't you see you need to do what makes you happy?

I hope you find everything you're looking for.
I hope you see that need nothing more,
Than finding your inner happiness,
And a heart stronger than before.

I hope you ponder all the questions left unanswered.
I hope you dance when the tides seem the lowest.
Because all you need to make all through the day,
Is a smile.

Whether fake or not it hides the deepest wounds.
Optimism will lead you to a better road.
