Fake Smile - Poem by Ciera Ivey

Do I look happy?
Well, I'm not
I wish I was but
I'm hurting inside alot

I want it to go away
The thoughts to damage
I'm starting to think I'm too crazy
To be able to even manage

I'm normal to the outside
Bruised on the inside
All the thoughts inside my head
Are starting to collide

'Go away, ' I scream
'Leave me alone'
But they never listen
At least not when I'm home

They laugh and taunt
They play their game
I am the loser because
They're driving me insane
