Fakir Yogis Poem by Sumita Jetley

Fakir Yogis

Come share the chillum, they said,
By the fire, where dreams spread.
Nath Yogis, Sufi, and Panthi too,
In the night, their prayers grew.

Wind picked up, leaves rustled tight,
A mystic came in the fire's light.
Chillum smoked, then gone so quick,
Life's mysteries are deep and thick.

A deer jumped, ran away fast,
Their laughter bright, the moment passed.
A shooting star, wishes made,
Night's magic never fades.

Distant drums, a village near,
Soft beats, they could hear.
Gentle rain, a soothing song,
Under the tree, prayers went on.

By dawn, rain stopped, world renewed,
Mystic's nod, hearts were cheered.
Smiles shared, life's adventure,
Mysteries, blessings, joys to treasure.
