Fakir's Gratitude Beyond Words Poem by Sumita Jetley

Fakir's Gratitude Beyond Words

In the heart of Mumbai, 'neath a sky so wide,
Where the sea meets the city in a rhythmic tide,
In a cafe chic, with its urban glow,
Sat a Sufi and Yogi, in the evening's slow.

The Sufi, robed in wisdom's grace,
Carried the world in his serene face.
Beside him, the Yogi, calm and profound,
Rooted in stillness, in silence he found.

They spoke of the waves, of the sea, of the night,
Of the city that shimmered in the soft moonlight.
Their words, a bridge over a river deep,
Where thoughts would wander and souls would leap.

'In this vastness, where do you find your place? '
Asked the Sufi, with a curious gaze.
'The breath, ' said the Yogi, 'is where I stand,
A bridge between the heart and the land.'

'And what of love, does it find you here? '
The Sufi pondered, over his tea so clear.
'Love is all, ' the Yogi replied,
'In every moment, it's our guide.'

As the night deepened, their conversation flowed,
In the language of silence, their connection glowed.
The Sufi wrote a verse, in the moment's embrace,
A memory of their meeting, time could not erase:

'By the Arabian Sea, under a moon so bright,
A Sufi and Yogi shared a night.
Different paths, yet the same quest,
In the heart of Mumbai, they found their rest.

Waves whisper secrets, to those who know,
In the city's heart, love's true glow.
A moment in time, a friendship's seed,
In each other, they found what they seek.'

In the cafe's warmth, amidst the urban scene,
They found a connection, serene and keen.
As they parted ways, in the night's cool air,
Their spirits were lighter, a bond rare.

In Mumbai's heart, where dreams are alive,
A Sufi and Yogi, together, thrive.
Through poetry and silence, their story weaves,
A tapestry of moments, like the sea's endless heaves.
